Verdant Verse

Verdant Verse marked the culmination of a travelling workshop series under Chalantika, initiated by Shunno Art Space in Manikganj throughout the month of February and later expanded through a three-day program at Aloki from March 22 to 24. The project brought together exhibition displays, open discussions, and participatory workshops, unfolding simultaneously as an integrated creative experience. Despite the challenges of navigating Dhaka during Ramadan, visitors arrived from different parts of the city, reflecting a strong collective interest in the dialogue between art, environment, and community. The event was inaugurated by distinguished guests, including Ziaul Haque, Director of the Department of Environment; Syeda Rizwana Hossain, Chief Executive of the Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (BELA); and artists Nasim Ahmed Nadvi and Naima Haque, whose presence offered meaningful encouragement and insight. Shunno Art Space extends sincere gratitude to Neighbourhood Art Space and Aloki for generously hosting the program, and to Panjeree Publication for their valued support in facilitating the workshops, all of which contributed to the successful realization of this collective artistic endeavor.
