Our mandate:
We use the transformative power of art to bring people together, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire positive change. Rooted in the belief that art naturally crosses boundaries and opens doors for dialogue, Shunno Art Space serves as a meeting ground where artists and community members connect, collaborate, and grow. Our purpose is to keep art accessible, inclusive, and deeply connected to everyday life.
Bhashajog has just wrapped an incredible journey across five districts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, carrying stories, languages, and creative energy from one community to another. What started as a simple idea—to celebrate the diversity of our mother tongues through printmaking—quickly grew into a collective movement of expression and connection.
The project was born from a need to remind ourselves that language is more than communication; it’s identity, emotion, history, and freedom. Through screen print, stencil, cyanotype, linocut, and woodcut, participants explored their personal language stories and transformed them into powerful visual expressions.
None of this would have been possible without the heartfelt support from local communities, volunteers, artists, teachers, and young participants who welcomed Bhashajog with enthusiasm in every district. Their openness, curiosity, and generosity shaped the project far beyond what we imagined.
As we look back on this journey, Bhashajog stands as a reminder that creativity travels, stories connect us, and our languages—no matter how different—always find a way to meet.
