Line of Ascent is about articulating the accent of every individual artist in their most recognizable character. It is also about spontaneously engaging in one of the most interesting methods of printmaking to express oneself – namely etching.

If the portfolio is an ecology made up of the images produced by 20 chosen artists of considerable fame who represent the country on their own terms, every work seems like a testament to their loyalty to the economy of form and the dynamism that is achieved through linearity.
